On Saturday, it was the Wet Mids Show; on Sunday the Wild West Show. Characteristically for the middle of June (or so it seems), the first day of Shropshire's best rural show brought out the umbrellas but spirits were undampened. The umbrellas (together with quite a few other things) were blown away on the second day, with the fast-paced action at the show matched by Formula One clouds. Happily, only hats were ruffled - spirits were not. The yearly feast of fun, food, flowers, horses, sheep, cattle, goats and rare breeds was as spectacular as ever - thanks to trick riding, tremendous trucks and Tom & Tilly's Tomfoolery.
West Mid Show Chairman, David Tudor, said: "I am very grateful to the general public for their support. There were a few disappointments but talking to members of the public, they thought it was an amazing show."
