The West Mid Show

The 119th West Mid Show promises to be another excellent event. This year the show will be held on the 21st and 22nd of June. The organisers have managed to secure another line up of excellent attractions with something for everyone.

They will have a full range of livestock and equine classes with horses, sheep, goats, cattle and this year there will be pigs for the first time in 28 years.

Other attractions this year will include the British national tug of war championships, the show is delighted to welcome the organisation and wishes all of the competitors the very best in the competition. In terms of main ring attractions the show is delighted to welcome acts that have never appeared here before.

The Red Devils Of the Parachute Regiment will be performing a freefall skydive on both days, they are widely recognised as the premier sky diving display team in the UK. The Devil's Horsemen will be performing each day with two performances, one will be jousting and medieval fighting followed by Cossack trick riding, where riders show immense skill and perform tricks whilst at full gallop, this has to be seen to be believed.

The Sealed Knot Society will be having a muster at the show with one performance each day in the arena, they will also have their living history village where you will be able to visit and sample the traditional ways of life including food preparation, saddlery and many other ancient arts.

Big Pete and Grim Reaper Monster Trucks will also be making there first appearance at the show, this promises to be fast and furious and will feature highlights such as the car jump - car tug of war and an additional spectacular to be advised on the day.

There are many other attractions in the main ring including Mounted Games - a full International with teams from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany and Northern Ireland for this European Championship warm up for the West Mid Challenge cup. England are currently world and European Champions!

Finally, but by no means least, Titan will be making his first ever appearance in Shrewsbury. Titan is a truly sensational attraction and has to be seen to be believed.
The 8ft robot is a huge draw and has been known to stop traffic in town centres!
