A selection of great images taken by our readers
Stokesay Castle by Penny Wakefield
Penny took this picture on a visit to Stokesay Castle, near Craven Arms, last September with a Praktica DCZ 8.3. It was a gorgeously warm and sunny day and I spent a fascinating day there with my parents and my husband and little boy, she says. It was one of many memorable moments during our weeks holiday.
The Iron Bridge and Reflection Lady by Judy Bradley
Model Judy, from Newtown, has turned to the other side of the lens to produce some stunning pictures, inspired by architecture and romantic ruins. These two are of the Iron Bridge and Sabrina the nymph on the River Severn at Shrewsbury Quarry, and were taken last summer with a Pentax P80.
Dawn Mist and The Stiperstones by Jon Baker
Jon Baker, from Telford, has been taking photographs for more than 30 years and says: Shropshire, North Wales, the Lake District and Scotland are my favourite areas. Dawn Mist was taken at dawn on the Stiperstones in September 2009, while the other view was captured on a late, stormy November afternoon. The best light is always at dawn or dusk, he says. He used a Nikon D200 DSLR.
