The final stitches have been added to the hangings and coverings to the 16th century Corbet bed.
The intricate work has been completed by a group of more than 200 volunteers led by Margaret Owen which has worked painstakingly to complete the restoration.
The bed was made in 1593 for Sir Andrew Corbet, of Moreton Corbet Castle, near Shawbury, and is on display in Rowleys House, in Shrewsbury.
Algernon Heber-Percy, Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, and his wife Jane placed the final stitches in the valance, marking the end of the Corbet Bed Project launched in 1997.
The completed valance is made up of 317,196 stitches, with 324 stitches to every square inch.
