Enjoy lashings of Dorset Ginger Beer
Palmers Ginger Beer, from the heart of Dorset, is a proper traditional English ginger beer. Served with ice on a hot day, it makes a delicious refreshing drink, and equally its gentle ginger heat warms you in the colder weather. Palmers Ginger Beer is made the old-fashioned way with pure sugar and no artificial sweeteners, giving it a lovely, clean natural taste, taking you back to traditional caramels and lemon bon bons. It has a light fizz and a satisfying zing, making it the ideal non-alcoholic drink for all ages.
Palmers has been brewing finest ales on the same site in Bridport, West Dorset, since 1794. Dorset rope and net makers, the Gundry family, built a brewery on the banks of the River Brit and in the late 19th century, two Palmer brothers bought the operation and its pubs. Today, their great grandsons John and Cleeves Palmer run the company and Palmers Brewery remains among the best of small, independent brewers in the UK. Beer is still brewed in the original Old Brewery, famous as the only remaining thatched brewery in Britain. Tours run throughout the summer, during which you can learn about the traditional brewing techniques, see the ales being made and taste the range afterwards. Palmers has a wine store on site, offering top quality, hand-selected wines, spirits including Palmers famous Golden Cap Whisky, soft drinks including Palmers Ginger Beer and the cask ales. If youre visiting Dorset, Devon or Somerset this summer, you can enjoy Palmers ales, spirits and soft drinks in Palmers' characterful pubs, located in some of the best-known and best-loved spots in the South West. Palmers pubs serve good food in pretty country villages, deep in Hardy Country and on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
